Nel 2002 ha ultimato il Master Universitario in "Ortopedia e Traumatologia dell'Età Evolutiva" presso l'Università Statale degli Studi di Milano.

Dal 1 Feb. 2010 è Responsabile del Unità Operativa di Artroscopia della Spalla e Chirurgia Mini-invasiva dell'Istituto Policlinico San Donato IRCCS di San Donato Milanese, Milano.

Dal 1° Marzo 2006 è entrato a far parte del corpo docente dell'Università degli Studi di Milano, (Cattedra di Ortopedia, Dipartimento di scienze Medico Chirurgiche, Policlinico San Donato), con la qualifica di Ricercatore Universitario.

E' membro del Board esecutivo dell'ESSKA (Soc. Europea di chirurgia di ginocchio ed artroscopia) ove occupa la posizione di Chairman del comitato educazione e fellowship (2010-2012).

Nel biennio 2010-2012 ricopre inoltre la carica di Presidente del Comitato Artroscopia della SIGASCOT (Soc. Italiana Ginocchio, Artroscopia, Sport, Cartilagine e Tecnologie in Ortopedia)

E' Membro Onorario, dal 2005, della AOSSM (American Orthopaedic Society Sports Medicine).

E' inoltre membro di numerose società scientifiche tra cui la SIGASCOT (Soc. Italiana Ginocchio, Artroscopia, Sport, Cartilagine e Tecnologie in Ortopedia, dalla fondazione), SIA (Società Italiana Artroscopia, dal 1995) la SICSeG (Società Italiana Chirurgia Spalla e Gomito, 1995) la SIOT (Società Italiana di Ortopedia e Traumatologia, 1996), l' Esska (Soc. Europea di chirurgia di ginocchio ed artroscopia, 2002) e dal 2001 è membro della Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).

Dal 2007 è membro dell'ISAKOS (International Society Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) ed ha ottenuto l'affiliazione del Policlinico San Donato all'ISAKOS come teaching center.

Si occupa in particolare di chirurgia artroscopica di spalla e ginocchio, della chirurgia protesica dell'anca, della spalla e del ginocchio, e della chirurgia mini-invasiva.
